Interests:
Anime: My interest in Japanese animation drove me to establish a society for it at Royal Holloway; in the society’s first year of existence (2005) it was the Student Union’s “Society of the Year,” and I was awarded a society crest for the significant part I played in achieving that honour.
Juggling: I juggled ‘seriously’ for most of my undergraduate years, working my way up to juggling six balls, passing fire-clubs, working as secretary for the Bristol University juggling society and helping to organise two juggling conventions at the Bristol Students’ Union.
Writing: I have written stories, novels and comics from an early age, and have written (and performed in) a short film for greenvideo.co.uk.
Drawing: I have continued to build on the solid foundation of my AS-Level art, most recently making use of a graphics tablet and Adobe Photoshop to develop a cleaner style.
Film: I filmed, edited, produced and sold video documentaries of expeditions to the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco and the Dolomites in Italy during my A-levels.
Innovating: When not actively running a society, I come up with my own diversions, most recently staging an elaborate treasure hunt around central London to celebrate my 10,000th day.
